Bearings Plus (BPI) sets the standard for the engineering, manufacture and repair of fluid film bearings and sealing solutions, servicing the fast turnaround needs of the petrochemical plants along the Gulf Coast, Bearings Plus has its roots deep in the rotating machinery industry and has established itself as a leader in the design, manufacture, and servicing of fluid film bearings and seals.

The Production Scheduler will be based at our Pearland facility on a daily basis and support the Operations Manager in the smooth and efficient running of the job shop repair facility and wil interface with other organization functions to help manage and schedule activities. The role emphasizes developing organizational and time-management skills to support scheduling, resource allocation, and production planning.

What You Will Bring:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience being responsible for production scheduling within a manufacturing or service and repair facility
• Experience of utilizing an ERP system for production planning
• Established skill in using Microsoft Excel for managing production planning
• Experience in a machining environment (knowledge of mills and CNC Machines) is desirable, but not essential
• Able to work closely with the buyer to ensure product lead times are met
• A flexible approach, to be able to adjust to changing demands and adjust production plan to meet the demands
• Associate's degree required in a related subject. Bachelor’s degree preferred

What You Will Do:

• Interface with the sales team to understand the product forecast and give feedback on their delivery potential during the initial quotation
• Collaborate with team members to analyze schedules and identify areas for improvement
• Monitor production schedules to ensure deadlines are met and address potential bottlenecks
• Maintain and adjust schedules to align with resource availability, production timelines, and customer needs
• Track order progress and provided updates to customer service on delivery timelines
• Schedule and plan tasks and projects while accommodating unexpected changes with minimal disruption to delivery timelines
• Review and update sales order details and help prepare schedules to align with due dates
• Work closely with team leaders to track resource needs, such as personnel, materials, and equipment
• Make available the issuance materials required at the request of the stock room or other staging areas
• Be knowledgeable of order flow throughout the shop floor and make necessary changes to the schedules and routes in compliance with the delivery schedules
• Quote the lead times and run quote estimates on customer orders
• Collaborate with floor staff on matters that relate to material and schedule changes to operate set-up time
• Record daily labor reports, such as keying in labor tickets
• Assist in preparing and distributing reports on key metrics such as labor hours, items shipped, and order statuses
• Collaborate with accounting and production teams to reconcile labor reports and time variations
• Ensure proper documentation and communicate schedule updates with all stakeholders
