  • Hospitality or Food Service experience preferred
  • Able to work in Ephrata PA

In the role of Interior Designer, you will be expected to carry out the duties and responsibilities described below in the job description which is periodically updated to reflect project needs.

  • Thorough understanding of Commercial Design with a robust background in hospitality and/or food service applications.
  • Adhere to project budgets, and timelines and actively manage the needs of the design within the agreed-upon scope of work.
  • Foster a positive relationship between client and team, guiding all parties to the ideal solution that meets the needs of the finished product within the established budget.
  • Expertise in understanding and applying current codes established to protect public health, safety, and welfare.
  • Work in an office environment as part of the team.
  • Possess excellent computer skills, and is quick to learn new software and processes.

Company Wide

  • Participate in SCOPOS daily stand-up meetings where we discuss schedules and top priorities.
  • All work will be performed according to SCOPOS standards in the spirit of the company vision.
  • All process information and documents will be held strictly confidential outside the company.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Contribute to the development of best practices for project management within the organization.
  • Stay informed about project management methodologies and tools.
Compensation:

$65,000 - $75,000

Responsibilities:

INTERIOR DESIGN

  • Develop sales and design presentations for interior design and food service and commercial projects in collaboration with the interior design team
  • Spearhead presentations of design concepts to clients
  • Build scope and assemble design proposals for design services
  • Promote and seek opportunities to integrate interior design services into SCOPOS projects
  • Identify and schedule project needs & deliverables
  • Ensure and maintain quality control of company design standards
  • Control schedule and deliverables for assigned projects
  • Be able to prioritize and manage multiple projects, utilizing time management skills in order to balance the needs of the projects, clients, and other related areas of the project scope
  • Produce FF&E / accessory selection packages for procurement
  • Update DesignWire, our online resource for interior procurement, as needed
  • Collaborate with Marketing to generate materials
  • Work with Leadership on goal setting, expectations & performance of the Design Department
  • Coordinate Schematic Design, Design Development, and Construction Documents with project team
  • Manage communication with clients, and product representatives
  • Quality Check regularly throughout the process to ensure smooth implementation.
  • Attend Trade Shows & Conferences to gather the latest trends, solutions, and opportunities
  • Visit project locations as required

DESIGN WIRE

  • Support the Procurement department in the procurement process
  • Be proficient in simple bookkeeping processes, financial management, and related software
  • Support Procurement Manager with timely and accurate processing of purchase orders, including verifying price terms and conditions
  • Develop standard kits and level of design, solutions, and packages depending on clients packages

BRANDING

  • Seek opportunities to integrate branding and sell branding concepts into projects
  • Support artwork selection and small wares for branding projects

BPMN (BUSINESS PROCESS MAPPING & NOTATION)

  • For all departments and processes currently developed, enhance, and clean up tutorials, guides, systems, steps, etc. and roll out training material

COLLABORATION

  • Collaborate and direct team members within the scope of the project.
  • Take responsibility for designs and coordinate with all members of the ID team
  • Work under Leadership to ensure smooth operation of the Interiors Department
Qualifications:
  • Portfolio Required
  • NCIDQ, ASID, IIDA or CIDA preferred

  • Able to work in Ephrata PA
