Job Title: Event Assistant

Location: Austin, TX
Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Event Assistant to support the planning, coordination, and execution of various events. As an Event Assistant, you will work closely with the event management team to ensure all logistical aspects of the event are carried out smoothly. Your attention to detail and ability to multitask will be key in ensuring our events run efficiently and meet the expectations of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the planning, organizing, and execution of events, including corporate meetings, conferences, trade shows, weddings, and social gatherings.
  • Manage event logistics, such as registration, attendee check-in, and setup/teardown.
  • Assist in developing event timelines and ensure all tasks are completed on schedule.
  • Communicate with attendees and guests to confirm details and provide assistance as needed.
  • Ensure that all event supplies and equipment are available and properly set up.
  • Manage event budgets by tracking costs and assisting with invoices and payments.
  • Provide on-site event support, including managing event flow, troubleshooting issues, and handling emergencies as they arise.
  • Support social media promotion of events and assist with post-event activities, including surveys and feedback collection.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, or related field preferred).
  • Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and event management software (e.g., Eventbrite, Cvent).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as events require.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
