As we scale, we are seeking an experienced, results-obsessed, innovative, culture-centric Chief People Officer to transform our People function, support our rapid growth and enhance our company culture.

 

Position Summary:

As Chief People Officer, you will play a strategic and integral role in shaping our company’s growth by driving accountability for results and ensuring our most important investment (our people) are growing and delivering value for our clients and stakeholders. In addition to your role on the Executive Team, you will be building, optimizing, and scaling all aspects of the People function. You’ll report directly to CEO Erin Mulligan Helgren, a multi-tour Vista CEO and multi-organization public company board member with 30 years of operating experience in CPG, SaaS and Technology. You will spearhead initiatives around talent acquisition, organizational

development, employee experience, performance management, workplace strategy and internal

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive People strategy that supports our business goals, fosters a high-performance culture, and aligns with our values and mission. Serve in a dynamic and collaborative role as an Executive Team member to support a healthy, strong, collaborative, and accountable Leadership Team (and company).

• Talent Acquisition, Development and Retention: Lead initiatives to attract, develop, and retain top talent, including designing robust recruitment strategies, enhancing onboarding experiences, building strong L&D programs and implementing effective retention programs.

• Culture and Engagement: Champion a positive and inclusive work environment, designing initiatives that promote employee engagement, accountability, satisfaction, and company culture, particularly as we scale.

• Organizational Development: Partner with managers and teams across the organization to structure teams for maximum efficiency, establish career development paths, and foster continuous learning and growth.

• Performance Management: Develop and enhance a performance management framework that provides clear expectations, regular feedback, and supports individual and team accountability.

• Workforce Strategy: Develop strategy, considering growth across all functions, to fully capitalize on our presence in Costa Rica while identifying additional global locations and global hybrid/ remote approaches so that we can access great talent pools cost-effectively as we scale.

• Internal Communications: Lead strategy of communications for ongoing alignment, engagement and inspiration.

• Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI): Spearhead DEI initiatives that reflect our commitment to creating a workplace that values diverse perspectives, fosters belonging, and promotes equitable practices.

• Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and HR policies and mitigate organizational risks through proactive policy development and enforcement.

• Compensation: Build effective compensation strategies, aligning appropriate incentives to optimize growth and achievement.

• Payroll: Execute global payroll program, ensuring compliance

 

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in Human Resources or People Operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role with responsibility/ special focus on talent acquisition & development, ideally within a SaaS or high-growth tech company.

• Proven track record of scaling People organization in a fast-paced environment.

• Exceptional emotional intelligence and strategic thinking skills.

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.

• Experience designing and implementing talent acquisition, development, and retention strategies.

• Strong understanding of HR laws and compliance regulations.

• Passion for building a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace culture.
