Title: Agile Project Manager/ Scrum Master - Remote
Duration: 3 Months
Summary
- We are looking for a motivated planning and delivery PM with demonstrable experience helping teams define and refine their ways of working both initially and on a continual basis.
- This person should have experience drawing from a broad toolbox of planning and delivery frameworks and practices ranging from predictive to adaptive and be comfortable and capable of assessing team needs and abilities, guiding and tailoring their ways of working.
- Working directly with 2 teams, we need someone who can analyze the needs of the team to meet desired outcomes, define, socialize, train (at times) and guide the implementation of agile centric approaches that are fit for the team's purpose.
- This role will require someone who is flexible and comfortable with dynamic and evolving assignments and rolling up their sleeves at times to be plugged into efforts to ensure the team, project, business outcomes are successful; they should also know how to measure the continual attainment of these goals. This may include coordinating integrations, change management, training, resourcing and dependencies for the delivery of successful outcomes for the assigned team/tower. We need someone who is detail-oriented, excellent at team motivation & accountability, and committed to delivering outcomes, with a high quality bar. It also doesn't hurt if you are passionate about health and fitness.
Responsibilities
- You will be aligned to 2 teams charged with delivering improved experiences on client.com.
- You are no stranger to hitting hard deadlines in an evolving environment.
- You may also need to help guide/facilitate the planning of tech initiatives for your teams.
- You will collaboratively guide the team in discovering a suitable way of working and implement enough formality drawing from applicable agile frameworks to enable the team to begin sprinting in very little time.
- Support the ways of working and suitable continuous improvement approaches with metrics aligned to the outcomes charged to this team.
- Facilitate activities across cross-functional and global teams as necessary (Operations, OCM, HR, Enterprise Architecture, Digital Product, QA, etc.), and proactively identify and manage dependencies and risks across them.
- Inspire teamwork without direct reporting authority and maximize the value created by your team.
- Conduct planning and delivery ceremonies in alignment with the selected ways of working and defined frameworks.
- Own and manage communications, ensuring necessary stakeholders are involved and informed.
- Guide and coach teams in their applicable ways of working, within the constraints of existing client Technology frameworks.
- Work closely with Business Project Manager and Vendor Project Managers when applicable to support overall project management, communication, status reporting and stakeholder management.
- Prepare and facilitate functional stakeholder steering committee/project/initiative meetings.
- Coordinate keeping all planning & delivery artifacts up to date in client business systems like Confluence, JIRA, Smartsheet and Sharepoint and are also responsible for creating project monitoring tools like Dashboards and Risk logs to avoid missed goals.
- Liaison to teammates outside the primary team or technology team in which you're engaged and help them interact with your project teams. - Cadenced Retrospectives and Problem
- Solving events - focused on how the team's way of working is performing and if the project outcomes are looking good. Maintain current measurements and metrics to inform the continuous improvement efforts.

- You obsess over learning and improving teams' ways of working demonstrable experience defining assessments of teams' ways of working and using inspect & adapt practices to incrementally improve.
- You over-communicate and radiate information to the stakeholder vertical teams to ensure dependencies are clear and there's general alignment across the teams.
Demonstrable experience in the following - Required
- Relevant experience with one or more: design sprints, scrum, kanban, XP.
- Experience in successfully serving in a scrum master role for a technology planning and delivery team.
- Ability to assess team purpose and define an actionable approach to implementing an agile way of working.
- Practical experience and success with both waterfall and agile project delivery Preferred
- Experience with large and small technology project management and successful delivery.
- Experience with highly matrixed project teams spanning multiple time zones.
- Experience with vendor management and collaborating with them on project delivery
